Social Network, written by West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin and directed by David Fincher, stars Justin Timberlake and newcomer Jesse Eisenberg. The film charts the history of the website from its launch in 2004. It goes on to track the legal battle between creator Mark Zuckerberg and several fellow students at Harvard. His former friends claim he stole their idea. The Social Network took $15.5m (£9.8m) in its second week.
The men stuck in a mine in northern Chile are still stuck there.

Work to line the top of an escape shaft with metal tubing is expected to finish in the next few hours at the mine where 33 men are trapped in northern Chile. A winch and pulley will be installed and the shaft tested before the rescue begins, it is hoped, on Wednesday. Amid the final preparations for the rescue the Chilean health minister said some of the miners were gallantly insisting they should be last to leave. The men have been entombed since the mine partially collapsed on 5 August.

Among their relatives at the surface, initial despair at the accident gave way to anxiety over their predicament, to be replaced by joy and excitement as the hoped-for rescue approaches. After 41 days of drilling and three separate rescue plans, engineers finally broke through to the miners on Saturday morning, sparking celebrations across Chile.
What do you think? Just in the news, Google tests cars that drive themselves. The cars use video cameras mounted on the roof, radar sensors and a laser range finder to "see" other traffic, software engineer Sebastian Thrun said. They remain manned at all times by a trained driver ready to take control as well as by a software expert. Google hopes the cars can eventually help reduce road traffic and cut the number of accidents. In a posting on the company's blog, Thrun said the self-driven cars had so far covered 140,000 miles on the road.
They have crossed San Francisco's iconic Golden Gate bridge, negotiated the city's famous sloping streets, driven between Google offices, and made it around Lake Tahoe in one piece.
